Swine flue

Swine Flu Influenza-A (H1N1) Pandemic Influenza-A (H1N1) Outbreaks are called swine flu.  A new virus, H1N1, is formed by the synthesis of viruses in birds, pigs, and humans.  The World Health Organization has declared the disease 'Mahasath'.

Symptoms of this disease include

  • Shortness of breath.  
  • Darkening of the tongue and lips.
  • Excessive irritability
  • Coughing and sneezing.
  • Body pain.  
  • Sore throat.  
  • Dizziness.
  • Headache.  
  • Feeling tired.  .
  • Chest and stomach pain.

Treatment - Tamiflu and Relenza are used.  


In Mexico, the United States, Canada, and India, swine flu has been transmitted from pigs to humans.
